About Us

It’s a good jar.

It all started with my friend’s love of a good yogurt. She got me hooked, and the jars were just too cute to throw away.

After moving to Central NY in 2025, I started making candles as a hobby and fell in love with it. I enjoy making personalized gifts & creating funny names. I began selling locally at farmers’ markets. This opened the door to meeting new friends, becoming part of a community, and even finding our newest pup. The farmer’s market led to selling at a local shop and opening a candle-making & flower workshop with my friend.

Admittedly, moving from the Sunshine State to a rural area where you don't know anyone may seem a bit crazy. The first winter here was a big adjustment, it was long and frigid. The name First Bloom came to me after seeing the first hint of spring. Seeing that tiny flower bud with a pop of color filled me with a sense of excitement, hope, and rejuvenation. The mountain landscape & natural beauty here is really quite spectacular.

My candles are made with 100% soy wax. I use fragrance oils that are subtle, fresh, and clean. I prefer light floral scents, but I also love taking requests. It’s amazing how a scent can take you back to a special memory. My favorite vessels to use are upcycled jars and vintage teacups. My other hobby is thrifting & going to estate sales to find little gems to repurpose.

It’s never too late to make a change. Take the risk & follow your dreams. I’m grateful to my family for their support and a special thank you to my friends for saving their jars and teacups for me!
